{ P U M P K I N S }

It has been a glorious October. We have had an Indian Summer and we have loved every minute of it. Today was no exception so we decided it would be a great day to carve our pumpkins. There was so much excitement from all 3 little ones. However, each one had their own reaction to the whole carving procedure. ;)

Andrew was all smiles! ;) pumpkins (3 of 1)

Emmie was ready! pumpkins (4 of 1)

Sophia could hardly wait. pumpkins (2 of 1)

Daniel's face says it all. pumpkins (5 of 1)

Now, one needs to understand that when you have a Daddy that has his own construction company, that also means he has every tool known to mankind. He means business! ;) pumpkins (6 of 1)

Andrew had a hard time with the smell of the inside of the pumpkin

and he clearly was worried about the sleeve of his shirt.

He scooped as much as he could, but there was no way he was going to touch it. ;) pumpkins (8 of 1)

Emmie helped out all the little ones.

Not only did she scoop her own, but she helped scoop them all at one point.

She is an awesome big sister! ;) pumpkins (7 of 1)

Our sensory child DID NOT like it one bit. The first little bit of pumpkin that got on him,

he was having a fit! He was worried about his shirt, his jeans and wanted

his hands cleaned immediately. Needless to say,

Mommy took care of his pumpkin for him. ;) pumpkins (9 of 1)

About half way through, both boys were over it and decided

they would much rather eat a granola bar and go off and do their boy things. lol pumpkins (10 of 1)

But not my girl.....not my little artist! ;) pumpkins (12 of 1)

She cleaned that pumpkin right out and couldn't wait to start carving the face.

We set our pumpkins right outside our sliding glass doors so we can enjoy them this week. Happy Halloween from The Tribe. ;)

These are fabulous Steffie! You captured your pumpkin carvers so well. Love how David gets serious with the power tools...will have to remember that when we carve ours. Can't wait to see your cuties in their Halloween costumes.

Oh my lands did I laugh out loud when I got to the part about your little sensory one. Because the entire time I was looking at your adorable children and gorgeous photos, MY sensory self was thinking, "ew, pumpkin guts." Heh.

G keeps asking when fall is coming here too. Lovely pictures. We are having a wind and rain storm. Not complaining because we have only had one 3 in rain all summer. Not our norm here.
