To Preschool We Go

P9073766
Sophia was so excited for her first day of Preschool. I have her enrolled in the afternoon class which meets from 12:30 until 3:00pm, M-W-F. She could hardly wait! She proudly chose her "first day of school" dress, bow and shoes.....and her new princess necklace! ;) collage51
She found her seat with her name card and then got up and walked over to where she knew her favorite blocks were. She came back and started to build her tower. As you can see by the lower left picture that she takes her tower building seriously. She always checks to make sure the blocks are centered and balanced. I love the far right picture as you can see the concentration in her eyes. P9073775
Now this picture just cracked me up. I heard her say to the little boy beside her, "I have to tell you sompin" (something) and she then proceeds to put her hands up to whisper whatever it was that she felt she had to say. All I know is when she was done, both of them were laughing. As I looked around the classroom at the other children, something told me that Miss Fia will be running the show. I was also THRILLED to see other children with different ethnic backgrounds in her class. That brought my heart so much joy. P9073777
Just me and my little girl.....this is my good bye hug and kiss. No tears, no anxiety.....just a very happy 4 year old girl enjoying life and her friends.
Mommy has to let this one spread her wings too! ~sigh~

I a so glad to hear that she was so happy about her first day! You captured some great photos of her in all of her happiness!

I know just what you mean about her class having a good mix of children from different ethnic backgrounds...it also brought joy to my heart when I noticed the same thing about Ella's pre-school!

Sophia is so adorable....she looks like she is having so much fun....I love the picture of her whispering to the little boy....too cute!

I feel like a complete idiot....I sent you that email last night and didn't see all of your updates on Emmie....I guess I found the first negative about my new sidebar feature...I thought it would save me time....it doesn't tell me when one of the blogs has been updated, just a new post!

I am so sorry that Emmie is feeling so bad....we will continue to pray for her and hope that this new treatment works!

Hang in there!

I just love it when Mia says she has to tell me sompin'. Sophia's eyes tell a story in themselves as she is leaning over to tell a secret to her new friend. That picture is so funny!! And I love the mother/daughter photo on the bottom. So sweet.

So glad she is happy to be going to school.I can promise you I was not looking that happy on my first day.
Give her a few days and she will be teaching the class.LOLOLOL
Will be fun hearing stories of her in school, and what the teacher says she said.
Beware family secrets no more.

Awww....I love the picture of her wanting to tell her new friend a secret. I LOVE how little girls are so outgoing and little boys seem a little timid around them! Just precious!

Sophia is such a cutie pie. Glad she's enjoying her preschool.

So, I'm glancing at your comments and notice one from Emmie -- posted while she was in class? What's up with that? It was a sweet note, however, and the "ily" at the end was lovely.

Still, I'm glad she's well enough to be back in school...

Steffie, first how is Emmie? I am so sorry I have not been around alot lately to keep up on things, we are at the lake alot in the summer and now life is back to normal. I pray that she is feeling better. And for that little 4 year old beauty, I have probably said it before...I could just eat her up!! Those cheeks are just too precious.

If you have time I posted some big news the other day and I wanted to share it with you.

Have a blessed Sunday.

Love and blessings, Kristy

Seeing Sophia today reminded me of my little girl when she first attended preschool. Just like Sophia, she had a great time oblivious to other kids crying.

Love her innocence and cute smile :D
