Bike Day at Preschool

Sophia Bike
This is Sophia's last week of her first year in Preschool. She has grown so much. Her teachers just adored her......you could see it. That made my heart so happy. Tuesday was "bring your bike to school" day. When we pulled in to the church parking lot, (which was all blocked off for the kids in a certain area) and I saw all the bikes I thought for sure there would be a major conversation after school. You see.....Sophia was the only one still on a tricycle. Every other bike there was a two wheeler with training wheels. David and I just discussed getting her a new bike and then I thought to myself "Why"? She isn't asking for one, don't rush her to grow up. With Emmie, I did everything by "The Book". With Sophia and Daniel, I am much more relaxed and enjoying the time I have with them. Not to mention, Sophia likes one speed. FAST! The faster the better for Miss Fia. Apparently one of the little girls in her class asked if she would like to switch bikes and Sophia just politely said "No thank you". I asked her in the car if she wanted a bike like that and she replied " No, not yet, they go too slow and I like to go bast! (fast) Yep.....that's my girl......a speed demon! ;) It's all about enjoying life! Don't rush it, it goes by way too "bast"! ;) Have I
mentioned lately that I love this girl??? ~sigh~ ;)

She is so adorable on her bike. No need for a two wheeler yet, it's much more fun to go "bast" I think too! What a cutie.

I like to go "bast" too but trying to be a role model and slowing it down lately. Also avoiding the speeding tickets.

Too cute. Like the new header.

Too cute! I miss those preschool days. We used to have "May Day" and the kids would all bring their bikes. It was always so much fun.

Lottie has both kinds of bikes because they were handed down to her but she loves her tricycle the most because she can go vewy fast!

I know what you mean about Emmie. After James and Elisabeth, we were in our early 20's when we had them and we did everything by the book. Now we are approaching 45 with two 3 yr. olds and life has all of the sudden become too short.

Sophia is a sweetie!
