Sophia is just blossoming right before my eyes. She loves school, loves Sunday school class and is my little social butterfly. Her vocabulary just amazes us and she seems to really like to sing. She is singing constantly. Christmas songs, nursery rhyme songs and she loves to make them up as she goes along too. She is however, becoming more feisty the older she gets. Here are some things she has said/done lately.
- This past week she decided that drawing on paper was boring. She took the black marker and drew on Daniel's face instead. (stop laughing)
- I had to take most of her shoes out of her closet because at nap time she will get up and put a pair on and then get back into bed. In fact she hides things way under the covers and I have to pull them out daily. She also has about 7-8 silky blankets in her bed as well. I put them in the closet and she gets them right back out! I think 2-3 should be enough. Sophia thinks she needs them all around her and then some.
- She proudly picked a HUGE booger out of her nose the other day and looked at me, held her pointer up and said "Ta-da"! ( I know....nasty)! Obviously she thought it was a masterpiece of some sort!
- She will only wear dresses right now. I have a whole bar full of clothes hanging in her closet that she refuses to wear. ~sigh~
- She growls at the cat, which freaks the cat out and she thinks it is hilarious. When the cat see's her......he runs for cover!
- She has no self esteem problems. She is always stating that she is beautiful!
- She has started telling little fibs. She told Emmie the other night that I threw a sock at her and wouldn't give her a "huggie and kissie" goodnight. (lier, lier, pants on fire)
- She wants to ask Santa for a new necklace and bracelet for Christmas because hers broke. Well, guess who broke it arguing whether it should be worn at nap time or not! M-hm!
- She gets more stubborn by the day. I think "I don't want to" is her favorite line.
- When asked who made the mess .....it's always......"Daniel did it." Yes she can say "Daniel" now and she thinks she is HOT STUFF!
- We were in the car yesterday and she asked me if I saw the little boy outside. I said "yes". (I really didn't though, I just knew what house we had passed and figured one of their many children were out.) She asked me again in a more testy tone. I said "Yes Sophia, I saw the little boy playing". To which she then replies....."He wasn't playing Mom, he was walking....nice try though". (I can't even pull one off over the little stinker anymore.)

I was dying while reading this! She is just too funny! I completly agree you have your hands full with her! I do the same with Mickey! I completly zone him out some times while driving and when he asks something I am sometimes in autopilot. If something does not make sense to him he will say: "Mom you are so silly! Pay attention.
Oh my...look out Momma.
I am busting up over the coloring Daniel's face, the hiding shoes in bed and lastly that she said 'nice try though'. That is a classic.
I miss you too. We need to get together for lunch or dinner one night, just us. I sure could use it. I love talking with you
"Nice try, though..." oh man, did she put YOU in your place! ;) She's a character, that's for sure! What a cutie she is in those pictures, too!
Oh look at her pose! That is so funny :)
Oh, she is too much! I love that last picture :-)
Can I just say that I love the picture on the top right? All she needed to do was cover her mouth with her hand, and it would have been perfect;)
TA DA
it's always best if they pick their own boogers out. I hate shoving my finger in there to pull out crusties. The kleenex over the finger routine just doesn't cut it.
Now I say, 'hey Jazz you have a booger. Pull it out'.
Nice mom huh?
She then wipes it on my jeans.
I was at work once when I noticed two large boogers clinging to my shoulder. Obviously gifts from earlier and I pondered what everyone thought all day looking at me.
oh yeah, and with your new format, I can open under Firefox. Bonus.
That Sophia is so funny. Never a dule moment at your house. Also love her christmas tree. We have a Hallmark tree as well.
To Funny and what great expressions on Sophia. Have a great weekend!

Don't you love those Hunan spicy girls. Hannah has started telling me "No, I don't want to." I love the one about the little boy not playing but walking. She is so beautiful.
Hunan spice indeed! Caroline says, "But I WANT to!" after I tell her no she can't climb up the washing maching, pull out my good scissors, scribble on Peter's homework...the list goes on.
"Nice try though"? Hmmm, I guess the term "gotcha" has a new meaning now. :)
Thanks for giving us a smile today!
Teresa
No darn wonder you are loony bin bound.
I am still laughing about the drawing on Daniels face. How ever I like the last one too where she tells you you're not listening.

Gotta love a spunky girl like that...... She is a riot.
Can you believe the stuff these little people come up with?
She is just too cute for words! Sounds like you have your hands full :)
Love the Daniel did it and nice try though.... You have to wonder how their little minds work to come up with that...
Have a good weekend!
Kim
Great post! She is such a sweetie!
That was so funny! She sounds like a LOT of fun! I love that age!
Yep - laughing over here too - AND I can laugh because I have one JUST like her!!!
Yeah, I had to call out Mr. Brian. Silly man. Can't he tell the difference between us? I was laughing too when he replied back. He's so funny.
Hope you are having a good weekend!

I love your honesty, Stef.
That is one cute little girl you have there!
The blog has pics!! You have to see it in person though...the camera doesn't do it justice! ;) CAN'T WAIT TILL FRIDAY!!!
How funny! Already a shoe girl! You'll love having this list when she's a teenager.
Yes, I can commiserate with you during this "age" of between 3 and 13. I guess we are getting prepped for what's ahead. Do you think this is a college level course? I think we should be earning our doctorate degrees don't you?
She is becoming quite the little lady. Makes your heart swell with pride, doesn't it?
