okay, I think that's just about the cutest thing I've EVER heard!
Our son was only 21 months old when we met him in China and he didn't speak a WORD for 3 months and then spoke in English and he's taken off from there. I would have LOVED to hear him speak Mandarin, but it was like he knew we weren't smart enough to understand anyway, so he didn't waste his time :)

Steph, Not sure if anyone has told you what he said when you told him to "tell momma bye bye", in the second vidoe. He got a sad look on his face and says Boo Bye Bye. Boo means no in Chinese. I think he was afraid you were going to leave and he was telling you No Bye Bye. How Cute!
He is such a cute boy and he seems to fit into your loving family so well. I almost cried when you said “bye bye” and he replied very sadly “Bu by bye”. Yes, he doesn’t want to say bye bye to his mommy and his forever family! You are a great mom and I believe he will overcome the language barrier soon. It’s just not easy to watch him trying so hard to understand English. Best wishes!
