Oh, the places you'll go!

Suess
When I got my latest copy of Pottery Barn Kids in the mail and saw the Dr. Seuss bedding on the front cover, I about died. Although I have never been a " kid theme or character theme" kind of person, I might have to do this for Daniel. The comforter is quite simple and if I just do the Seuss sheets, I think it would be ok. At this point though, I am still hoping to have him in his crib for part of the summer. He will be 3 in April. BUT........I am excited to say that I just ordered our new little guy's bedding as well. Also from PBK. I'll post pictures of his room as it gets done. It needs a complete over haul since it was once Emmie's room. It needs to be completely re-painted and have new carpet as well. There seems to be so much to do all of a sudden. My "To Do" list seems to be growing. I have mentally prepared myself that we might travel mid April. Certainly not before, but I'm hoping it does not get stretched into May. Doesn't that sound so far away????? I have joined his orphanage yahoo group, and I am shocked at how good the orphanage is. It is suppose to be one of the largest and wealthiest in all of China. Now, it does say that he has a foster mom, so we are not sure if that is within the orphanage or if he is not there. I plan to send a care package after LOA, and I'm hoping he gets the family photo album. I know he won't get the other items. But I will send stuff anyways. The disposable camera's are my main concern. I loved getting it back with Sophia. It is the only thing I have for her. And.....as soon as I get my PA, I will post his picture and all the info you have been waiting for. ~sigh~ We are in love.

I love the bedding. I wish you could get to him sooner though. It seems like you should be able to go quickly since you have everything together and are through the review room.

I can't wait to see your new little man! The Dr. Suess bedding looks perfect, it's a character print without being over-kill, I know exactly what you mean on that as I've never really been a character person either - not sheets or shirts or anything in between. :-)

The bedding is just perfect for your little "Thing". heheee
I am so happy for your entire family and can't wait to see your little guy's room. I pray your PA,LOA, TA and CA come quickly. Add all those letters together and they spell Son... a miracle from Jesus...

I love it...like you, I am not a character theme room person either..but that comforter is so simple it can easily tranform into any room. Can't wait to see the new room too. Oh, and thanks for my secret squirrel request..super cutie!

Stef, can't say I'm all that fond of Dr Suess and that Cat in the Hat is just a pain in the butt. Think of all his messes. ;) Anyway, our care packages did make it to Noah and he got it all and it all came back with him. I was amazed. Your boy is probably in foster care in the family home. That is good cuz they learn to love but it's hard on them to leave. You will have to tell me what province . . Wuhan?

I just love that bedding. It's too fun. I can't wait to see the room make over for your little guy. It's so much fun to plan and dream about. Retail therapy is the BEST! What a relief to hear all that good news about your son's orphanage. I'm so happy for you.

I just continue to be so excited for you!!! And although I am with you (never been a fan of the "character bedrooms"), I think the sheets are cute and the quilt is very simple!!

Can't wait to see all the pictures - of the rooms and of course of the little man himself!

I'm not a "character" person either... but Winnie the Pooh and Dr. Seuss aren't characters - they are CLASSICS!!!!

How cute!! I am not a character fan at either, but I have to admit, when I saw this on the cover of the newest edition, I thought it was adorable!!

April does seem so far away, but as you said, you have a growing to do list....the time will fly right by and you will have your sweet boy in your arms in no time!!

Also not a 'character' person here, but I so thought of you when I received my PBK's recently. I have to say we are lovers of the Dr. Suess books, especially Miss Grace. Daniel's room will be darling. Can't wait to see the pics.

So you think you won't travel until April? Hmmm...even with being through review? The time will fly by, it did for us too. I can't wait to hear your new little man's name.

hugs,
Gail

Stef- Look at Ann at The Red Thread. She was able to translate a letter, get us updated pictures and measurements of Elijah. I totally recommend her. I am so thrilled for you.

Wow! That is traveling soon. Lots and lots to do before April!

p.s. How did you find out about the orphanage Yahoo group? "D" is in foster care, so I haven't done that, but would like to... just in case.

I am not a big "character" fan either but I love this bedding. We are actually reading that book alot...Oh the places you'll go...because of our move. It really has so much in it for Lottie and I to talk about.

I can't WAIT to see the little face that goes with that cute little body in your header.

I also LOVE those building blocks, Lottie also loves to use her imagination...those look awesome!
