Simplicity

P6022547 P6022551 P6022552 P6022540

This Radio Flyer wagon is at least 50 years old. It was David's when they came to the cottage. We usually just use it to haul gas tanks, flowers, dirt.....nothing special. Well today as the kids and I headed out to the tennis court to play, Daniel decided to grab it along the way. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun they had together with it. This old rusty, rickety wagon brought a morning of entertainment to these two silly goofs. First it was taking turns pulling the wagon, then Daniel got in and Sophia pulled him all over the place. A few times they would stop, Daniel would get out and they would get onto the teeter totter, get done with that and then the wagon pulling would resume. I could hear them talking about things..... Sophia would tell Daniel a story, point out the birds or an airplane, there was giggling and singing.....all the while I was just sitting in my chair taking one picture after another. ~sigh~ ;) This is what summer days are made of! My two sweet babies......loving life and each other.

Love these pictures....can't wait to see more!!!
I am having a bit of an issue with my camera....it seems to be taking every picture out of focus..(Any ideas???)...or maybe it is just the person behind the camera being out of focus...or "Crazy" both would fit at this point!!! hee-hee!
Have a fabulous day sweet friend!!!

This brought back such great memories, I still remember my brother and I playing with our old wagon as kids- dragging each other and pets around. Gorgeous photos Steffie. You have an incredible eye.

I love the b/w shots. These are great. Someone left an old, rusty Radio Flyer in the garage of our last home in Michigan and we moved it with us. It, too, has become the hauler of all things garden-related, but I love how your two sweeties found its true purpose.

So true! Isn't it amazing how the simple things in life continue to give such fun? Who needs all of the game boy's, wii's, etc. when you can play with a good old fashioned radio flyer wagon!!! I think that is fantastic.

You are becoming quite a pro with your photography. Sophia and Daniel are just precious. I love the pic of her pulling him with her back towards the camera. She is so precious with her little braids.
I am praying with you about your adoption. I am so discouraged right now. Email me when you get a chance. Have a great day!!!

Oh Steffie - these are STUNNING!! Don't you love having the kids play with something that has so many memories. I'm keeping a little table I bought for L when she was a baby. It's holed up in our garage right now, and I hope to one day see my grandkids playing with it. :-)
