Happy Valentines Day

After the past few weeks, I decided that today I wanted to do a Thankful Thursday Post. It is probably not as exciting as you thought it would be, however it is what is on my heart at the moment.
  • I am thankful that Emmie had a FANTASTIC weekend on her youth group retreat. She came back refreshed and feeling put back together. They had small group conversations, some of which she said were quite deep, she prayed aloud, and the last day she went up on stage and expressed what the weekend had ment to her and how she was going to take it back home with her.
  • I am thankful for my "Blended Multi Cultural Family". I realize that this is not the "traditional way", but it is what happened in my life. David and I believe that we were lead to each other for a reason. This summer we will celebrate 16 years of marriage and 6 children.
  • I am thankful for all the walks of my life. I believe that I have learned many things from all my life long journey's. There have been good times and bad. Each helping me grow into the woman I have become today. There are still some pieces of the "puzzle" that remain unanswered, but I know that when the time is right they will be revealed to me.
  • I am thankful that my church took us through the Purpose Driven Life six years ago. It was through that journey that I really thought about the siblings I had lost. Precious babies that I would never know...........until we are all together again. Tears streamed down my face as I thought about seeing them.......I was pulling out of the church driveway and it just came to me for some reason....I felt very much at peace after years of it being such a traumatic part of my life. I think about them from time to time.
  • I am thankful for my strong minded husband. He has helped me grow to be a strong Woman and Mother. He encourages me in my walk with the Lord. He really is a good man, husband and Father.
  • I am thankful that I can over look those who are cruel. It doesn't make the pain any easier, but I have the ability to walk away and not look back. I realize it is not my place to judge others. Someone far greater will do that someday.
  • I am thankful that I understand my purpose in life. I'm afraid that many do not.
  • I am thankful that I am at a peace with the wait during this second adoption. If we are ment to have another child, I know the Lord will bless us with her. If not, then I have come to understand the two recent "special gifts" he has given me.
  • And finally, I am thankful that I am getting the opportunity to see a friend this weekend that I formed a bond with because of our precious daughters from China.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'm hoping to get through my Blogroll before I leave. It seems like it has been forever. Don't forget to check Verna's blog. Gotcha Day is scheduled for the 18th, I believe. ;) And don't worry....soon I will be out of this "serious" mood I seem to be in and I'll be back to my old self.....just talking about my Things! *wink*
