Preschool Conferences......

Yesterday I went to my baby girls first Preschool Conference. Can you believe it? Eight months old when we brought her home and now she is in preschool. Sophia absolutely loves it. And she loves her teacher, Miss Cindy. Sophia scored very well in her Social Skills and Academic Progress. However, her favorite thing to do seems to be to go potty. Apparently she goes 3-4 times in the 2 1/2 hours that she is there. Now mind you, she can hold it with no problem. Miss Cindy has decided that it is the little low potty and sink that Sophia is so enthralled with. Every time I pick her up she proudly tells me how she went potty "all by herself". At home we really don't have that option because of "The Boy". I keep the bathroom gated off, lift Sophia over when she has to go and help her along so it goes quicker. But at preschool..........Miss Sophia obviously thinks she is the whip! I also came home with some art work that I will treasure forever. Love you so much, my precious baby girl! Isn't life grand????? ;)

The teachers comment on her report card: Sophia melts my heart! She is so sweet and a very good and smart girl. I love to listen to her tell stories. She has a great imagination.

too funny with Fia and the potty deal at school...probably likes the feeling of being a "big girl"...

Oh she is so sweet! I LOVE that picture and what a thoughtful note from her teacher.

The potty story is too funny. My Linzi has been using the potty forever now, but she still REFUSES to go by herself. She is more than capable, just a little bit of a diva. I was worried about how she would do at school - so far, she has NEVER used the potty at school. Thank goodness she seems to have a bladder of steel! LOL

That picture of Sophia is precious. This post made me smile.
Oh, your post about not remembering what you went upstairs for??? I have "senior moments" like that all of the time. It is scary when I think about the fact that I am getting another daughter. I need some good alzheimers medication. I forget ALL of the time. Heaven help us. :)

Awwwww, I love the black & white photo. She's so seriously concentrating. Too cute. I am always a bit worried about what new teachers think of my children. It sounds like her teacher is a sweetheart!

Awwww...glad you got a good report..but of course you would : )

Yeah, Annslee loved the little potty at school and I think that is why she never used a potty chair but always went on the big potty.

I am so glad that she is thriving in preschool. I knew that she would since she is such a little social butterfly (just like her Momma!)
Miss you friend.

What a lovely picture of Miss S. concentrating on her "L". What a doll.

I can understand her fascination with the little potties -- they're really, really cool. Lucky gal!

Hope the stories Miss Sophia tells really are from her imagination and not embelishments of what actually happens at home!!!

Kids have been known to reveal much too much sometimes!!
