My baby girl is growing up so fast. She is currently in the midst of volleyball tryouts and playing soccer. Her knee is still giving her trouble and I am afraid I may have to step in and just put my foot down and make the decision that she needs to take the fall off in regards to soccer. ~ Sigh ~
She is in her element again......back in school. The boys are chasing her........and we just crack up over it. The daily stories I get are just hilarious. She is my reflection......I can see so much of myself in her and yet she is much stronger than I was emotionally at her age. She is very strong minded and I hope that will carry her through. I worry about her.........although I need to let her spread her wings..........I worry. She is everything to me.

Just blurbing.......
And I have gone back to totally dating myself with the 80's look. I am a big hair monster once again. I just can't help myself! lol Today I am going to join a health club..........the scale had me flipping out last night. I knew it would................ ~sigh~............however, I want to be a good role model for the kids. So off to the gym I go to try and get myself in better shape. My shoulders and neck have been hurting me again lately. It is so hard to stay up beat and positive when your body feels like dookie! Also, the COP list is due to come out any time. I think that is harder than the wait itself. I am fully prepared to be denied again. And while I would like to say that it's ok.......it still is a very deep pain for me. Perhaps I am suppose to learn something from that as well. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.................... S*

ahh, just sat down for lunch and a quick blogging moment and here you are.
love the hair. I have big hair, mainly because it just has a mind of its own.
I love the new seasons going on at your house. Sounds so familiar in ways. My Jacob, like your Daniel, taught me I hadn't learned near what I thought I knew as a parent. You just gotta love them with their strong free spirits.
have a lovely weekend.
Daniel is so much like my little Jillian. she too has taught me patience(on going daily). Jill must be active and busy non stop, I swear she runs and climbs in her dreams!!
Love the new look, natural curl, you are one lucky lady(I am a green eyed monster her, with poker straight hair).
Hey Amiguita! so glad to see a post from you! Love your hair! Yup my little Mickey tries my patience every day! Emmie looks so lovely, no wonder she has all the boys after her. Hope Sophia feels better soon. I will keep you in my prayers with the COP list. It is all in Gods hands and he knows what is best for you and your family...
((((Hugs))))
Love the post... thanks for sharing about yourself and all your special people.
I love the hair by the way!
Love the hair...
Glad all is doing well in the family...
I will be back in a few..Internet connection is not great at grandparents house so I just found a minute to go over to my mother's(next door) to check in and get a little peace of mind..
Take care
Kim

Emmie must have naturally curly hair, I like it straight but the curls are stunning. Wow what a difference the summer made, all your children have changed so much in their looks! Including you although you look younger not older and the bigger hair suits you perfectly as long as you don't do the crazy bang thing that went on back then!!!! LOL
Thank you for your wonderful post. You have such beautiful children and they are lucky to have a mom who is there for them and cares for them in so many ways. I'm right there with you on letting our oldest open his wings, it hurts the hell out of me but is painless for him. I remind myself daily that God is guiding me and is ALSO guiding him. ALL I can do is pray.
What a precious family God has blessed you with! Have a nice weekend!
I just smile as I look at Emmie, what an amazingly wonderful young lady she is.She shows more maturity than some 20 year olds.
Sophia she just glows, she is so darn cute it scares me. Think of all the boys chasing her in a few years.(Glad I could give you one more thing to worrie about).:):).
And that little man I can just tell by looking at that picture he is full of .?????? Shall I just say the dickens?
And as for you going to the gym. A good thing you are getting in shape.... Dutch Dancing takes lots of energy. It is one HECK of a work out.
Have a great weekend too!!!
Did Sophia get a haircut or is it pulled back into a ponytail. So cute. Lovely family!
You have beautiful things to 'blurb' about!
What beautiful cuties you have! Hang in there with Daniel. I didn't think I would survive my third during the two's, but I did. God seems to give grace when needed. I thought maybe I learned the patience lesson during that time, but the China wait makes me think otherwise!
What a wonderful family!! They just glow!
Aren't you all just beautiful! I love your hair!!!!!!!
One day your baby girl will be ready for you to come to China and bring her home....
God's Speed
Do you have naturally curly hair? Oh, dang I wish mine looked like that but mine is poker straight.
Emmie looks just like you. Look out momma.
What a beautiful family you have! Of course the boys are chasing Miss Emmie but I know she will be choosy : )
love the big hair..hey I was an 80's girl in the south so not that big really LOL
Hang in there girl!!
You and Miss Emmie have the prettiest hair ever. You can wear it straight or curly and it looks great!! So jealous!
Sophia and Daniel are just precious as always.
I am going through the same thing you are right now. I am so fed up with how I look and feel and decided to join Weight Watchers last night to try to lose weight. I am also discouraged about this long wait we are having to endure. It's so hard.
Take care, my friend.
Hey Steffie, where's the Hubs? :)
Probably the same place your is.....
Good Morning girlfriend! Have I told you that I appreciate you and think you're the bomb? Well, I do.
I think you look beautiful. I see that Emmie has the 80's hair too. Is that the new look now? I have to keep up ya know.
I'm proud of you for joining the gym. I really need to join a gym. There's nothing out here by us though.
Daniel sounds just like Eli. All boy. And I can so relate to the total lovingness and then a head butt.
Emmie is the image of you and I must say, every woman's dream for a daughter. Your relationship is so inspiring and beautiful to see.
And Sophia is taking a big step. Good for her that she's excited about it.
Your children are so beatiful! My Ally starts all the soccer craziness this weekend!! Driving all over MA for these games..
BTW your hair looks marvelous..and me also is joining a gym hopefully next week..Summer did me in!!
Glad to hear Emmie is back in her groove at school...of course the boys are chasing her...LOOK AT HER! hee hee
It IS so fun to watch our little girls growing and gaining independence, isn't it? Sophia will do so great in preschool and her Sunday school class -- she is so outgoing and friendly! I look forward to hearing all about it.
Daniel is looking so big! And, yeah, he is a challenge. He is a boy afterall! You are doin' a great job with all your kiddos.
As for the next one: Big hugs to you as you wait. I'm sorry it's so hard right now.
XOXO Miss you.
You have such beautiful children. They are growing so fast. I can tell a big difference in just the short time I have been following your blog.
I'm a little slow blogging today! It's been a long week! Have a great weekend!
What a beautiful family. I can see how special each one is to you.
I recently got on the scales too, and let me tell ya, I joined a gym and walk on my treadmill 5 days a week. I have lost 6 pounds so far, but can feel things toning. I have a long way to go, but I'm right there with ya. I want to be a good role model for S.G.
You have such beautiful children. I love to read you thoughts on them. Love oozes out of your words. Daniel looks like he is thinking of something to get into.
From one naturally curly Mom to another, welcome to the Big Hair Club! I'm so glad it's warm and I can throw it back into a ponytail.
GNO is on the calendar. I'm looking forward to it!
Your kids are, as always, gorgeous and brilliant!
You know - I say NOTHING wrong with BIG HAIR!!!! I just can't seem to give it up either!! I'm stuck in the 80's!! Hey - with curls - what else is there?!?!?
well i think all your children are super special and there is a special place in my heart for emmie ... i love the 80's hair and can't wait to hear about the gym reports ...
I bet Daniel is going to love the one on one time with you. Love the photos of you guys.
Love the hair! Enjoy your time
at the gym. We joined the local YMCA
a few years ago and we really loved
spending the time together as a
family. Lots of fun!
Have a great weekend!
First of all, are you sure your daughter is in middle school??! Do you actually remember her birth?
Can I relate to the scale situation. Staying home all summer with my kids has turned me into a Fatty McButter Pants. Time to get a move on!
Barbara
OK - first let me tell you that all of your kids are beautiful!! I need to give extra props to sweet Emmie. I can see why all the boys would be chasing her.
Your hair ROCKS! Big?? No....it could get bigger. Swear. When I do my hair curly - I am back in 1985 again and I love it. Sometimes it just makes itself big. LOL... I am an 80's girl at heart. You look fab. You need a gym? Could have fooled me.
Your family is beautiful. Wow, maybe I can give up my flat iron for awhile, it your willing to do the 80's thing again, I can too!!
Great pictures. You and Emmie look so much alike.
Stop by my blog when you get a chance. I nominated you for an award.
The kids all look great!
I, being a big-haired-80's-girl myself LOVE your hair! ; )
Once again, I do believe we are kindred spirit for I, too, use the word "dookie"!! LOLOL!
Good to hear what everyone is up to. Hope your back and neck feel better soon:)
Kim
