I want to take a moment here and thank Verna/aka The Blog Fairy for the new blogs she has created for me. However, the true matter of these creations is her huge heart for adoption and for helping others. It takes her hours to do these blog make overs and she is doing it out of the goodness of her heart for our travel mate Pam Shockley, who is waiting to bring her son Ethan home from China. All of the funds Verna receives from now until November 1st will go towards the Shockley's to help with travel expenses. Of coarse I wanted to help my travel mate, but all I am doing is sending a check. Verna is doing all the work and spending her time and energy doing this. I find that remarkable and nothing short of a selfless act of kindness. Bravo to you Verna.......your heart is in the right place. You shine with kindness and love.....and I, my dear friend, am so blessed to be able to call you my friend..........a true Red Thread connection.

True generosity.........
As I said in my previous post, the hubby and I are going on a 4 day mini vacation with some close friends. We leave near the end of the week and I feel like there is so much to do. I'm looking forward to some down time and time to get caught up on my sleep. However, given the fact where we are going.....I may be up until the wee hours of the night! lol We are staying here. Ching, ching.....I'm heading for those slot machines! ;) I hope everyone has a great week and I look forward to catching up on your blogs when I return!

Steffie - bring more money because the shops at the Wynn are the best. It has all the top end stores so you might not even get to the slot machines.

Love the new look. Have fun on your vacation. Check the weather because we are getting a storm from Washington on Thurs or Friday. Suppose to rain and be cold. Not sure if Nevada will catch any of it though.
