Parking

Ok.......so tell me.....what kind of parker are you? When you go to the grocery store do you look for a close spot? Or how about the Mall? I will confess that I am a Parking Stalker! ESPECIALLY before the Mama Machine. However, I do have my days that parking that beast is not going to make me walk a mile. So......when I am at the Mall for example......baby...I want that front row. I will drive the circle a minimum of 4 times if I have to! I stalk the people coming out of the double doors...watching where their little tired feet are taking them......people behind me are making gestures...I totally ignore them.....and if the wanted spot does not become available, I circle and stalk some more. I've also been known to take up two spots with the Mama Machine.......what can I say......I need space.....I can't help it! However my FAVORITE part is when I am bringing packages out to the car and you see the excited look on someones face when THEY think they are getting MY spot.......(insert evil laugh here).......sorry.....bawhaaaa......I'm not leaving! I mouth the little "sorry"....toss them a little wave and giggle all the way back inside! I know.........I'm crazy.......perhaps it's my 3 Things that have caused me to go mental..... lol Oh dear.......I hope Kimberley doesn't take away my Nice Award now! *wink* OH.....and everyone that is reading this post needs to take a moment.....and just shake their booty's in their chair they are in....OR if you you'd like....just get up and dance.......I am! ;)

Shaking my booty right along with you!!!!
I just park so I can get in. I don't care if I have to walk, but I don't have little ones in tow either.
My husband is another story. He will NEVER park in the first row he drives through. It drives me absolutely CRAZY!

We have actually walked home from a mall when being pursued by a stalker one Christmas season. We laughed the whole way.

perhaps I should clarify that I'm not a mean parking stalker! lol

And Nancy.....you are forgetting that I don't let the Things leave the compound often......I stalk alone! lol

I park far away because I figure my boo-tay needs the exercise. I figure my attitude is gonna change when I am child lugging.

Hah - LOVE the song. That was one of the one's in my library. It was so much club fun back in the day.

Let me just say that I paid $1000.00 for a parking spot at my sons school. I got it for two years and it was worth EVERY PENNY!!! It was always there for me, Back to School night, first/last day of school, and every morn/afternoon. LOVED IT! Now that we're in Jr. High, I have to wait in line like everyone else. :(

I accept nothing less than front row. Ever. LOL!!!

Check out my girl getting down! Love the psychadelic funk on your blog today. Hmm..I can just see you doing this parking ritual. And I have seen the Mama Machine, so no one is going to get in your way. You're good to me, so go and keep that Nice Award...like I could get it away from you anyway, look at how you are with parking spaces : )
Shake it!!!

Steffanie, you are too funny! This song cracks me up! I'm in a time machine... hehee
I am a parking chicken... I look for a place that I can get in and out easily.... usually in the back 40. If it is a place with a grocery cart I try to park close to where they put the buggies so I can load up Hannah and push her in and can let Nicholas take the buggy back. (only if it is one or two spots away)

HAHA!! You are just like my mom!

I'm thinking we are seeing a new side to Steffie.
And if you had one of those people walking to their cars drop off a package and walk back how would you respond??? I would be very upset I know.
That is why i seldom go shopping. And I by no means have a mamam machine,or a papa machine.
Thanks for the fun blog. I enjoy the lighter side sometimes.

Hey.....I've had that happen....I think "hey here's a spot" and then NOPE.....what can you say? I just keep on stalking! ;) You didn't think I was an angel all the time did you Mr Brian?

Love the song and I am all for stalking that front parking spot.

i am park and walk girl .. i am too hyper to wait for a close spot when i have an errand to run and i definitely take up two spots with my "ghetto yaht" .. and i am shaking booty right now ...

Like you, I need a close spot b/c I do not want to haul my one Thing into a store with a long walk.

My biggest parking peeve is people who are stalking my spot (which I am fine with) and then they get mad b/c it is taking me a few minutes to get my little one in...

the other day in a very EMPTY lot a man had to have the spot right beside me...he kept inching up as I was putting her in her car seat..I almost lost it!!

Oh, and I know you are a nice stalker...me too : ) Your award is safe

that song (midnight Star) immediately took be back 20+ years. I had that album (cassette possibly?). I always try to park in the same spot so I can find my way back to my car. It's usually in the middle somewhere.
I totally got up and "shook it" for that song. Thanks!

Okay, I am totally grooving to that song right now. I was captain of my high school dance team and one of our best dances was to this song. I was immediately transported back to the early 80's when I was in high school. Loved this song!!!!
As always, you crack me up. I can totally see you telling someone "sorry" because you aren't leaving your parking spot. HAHAHA. You are too funny and I needed a good laugh tonight. :)

it is impossible to sit still in the chair with that song on....my bootay is wiggling all around and my feet are a-tapping!! Too funny!!

i'd be afraid to be a parking stalker here in fla., sometimes not so nice people may decide to carve initials on the side of my new wheels and that would make me oh so not happy in the least bit!!

but you go girl!!

I was swingin' it like nobody's business. Thank goodness I got me some booty to swang! lol. Love the song. Yep, I'm a stalker (not shock here..) and I will circle for days... Good job girl!

LaLa said...

Hmmm...had to rethink my answer..although I do enjoy a close spot like Jewels I usually park right next to the cart return if I can...makes it easier when you are done. Of course at the mall that isn't an issue so I stalk the front

I park so I never have to back out of the spot. Afraid I'll back out and drive over someone. I usually have to walk a mile in order to accomplish this.
Love the tunes today.

funy.... Sometimes if Daddy24 has my things, I will cirlce around several times and then realize I better just take what I can get because I am using up the time I could use to shop before he calls and sys he can't take the joys of being alone with them.
I did have a monster esxedition, but now have an odyssey and it is easier to park.

I'm a walker. With the bus I drive, I just want to make sure I can get in and out without hitting anyone! When the boys were little, though, I used to try harder to get close. Great song!!

Funny! I like to park next to the place you bring your shopping carts back in the parking lot. I will not leave my cart just sitting out - feel too guilty about that. As far as the mall, yes - I will try to park as close as I can :-)

Andie said...

Oh, Steffie...how I've missed you! Our computer went down a few weeks ago and it has taken me this long to find you again! I still have about 200 (give or take ;o)) blogs that I haven't found!! :-)
Anyway...my favorite is when people come to stalk me, with my three kiddos!! Not only do I have to get them all buckled in, and load all my purchases, but then I'm a stickler about returning the cart at Wal-Mart or Target so that my car (and others) don't get hit! People get so annoyed that I'm taking forever...but come on!!! But I'm not all that much of a stalker, even with three kiddos in tow...I just take a spot and walk. I actually try to park close to the cart corrals so that I can get a cart to corral my kids! Even if I trade it in when I get to the door for one of those cool ones with the big kid seats attached (you know, the SEMIs that run everyone over at Target & Wally world!!! That's me!)
So glad to find you again!
Andie

LOVE The song! Shaking my bootie at work! LOL I really don't mind where I park to tell you the truth... I figure I can get some exercise if I park a little further away. Now in the Christmas Season it is a completely other story....

Love the music it put a big smile on my face. Morgan started dancing. Your post made me laugh because I would never have thought you would be a parking stalker.

Oh you are too funny! I must admit I am a stalker too!!! We have a very small parking garage at our local mall. So I will stalk the first poor soul to exit the building under my watch and wait patiently while they take 10 minute to unload their packages, fold up the stroller, strap the babies in the carseats and drive away. Meanwhile, I am holding up traffic but I don't care. That parking spot is mine! mine! mine! and if you don't want to wait, then go around me...Whew! I feel better now that I got that off my chest. ;)

I had to mute my PC. Not only do I usually blog on the sly and dont' want to bring attention to my doing 'laundry' by the PC but also I do it while my boy is asleep. I'll have to shake my ass for you later.
As for the parking..... you scare me.
Well I guess not really, if I had a van full of kidlets, I might be inspired to park very close for a quick getaway too.

Next time I'm looking for a parking spot, I will think of you and your evil laugh and know I don't have a chance on the face of this earth to get that parking spot nearest to the Wal*Mart!! YOU STINKER!!

Hey there! We're ok. My tomato plants are casualties, but everything else made it through just fine. I'm glad you all are ok too. I think that Chicago buffered us.

You are too funny, you remind me of my friend. She is exactly like you. My parking style is the arobic workout. I park on the first space I see and just walk, no matter how far.
