Blogger friends.............I am tired..........and I need a break for a few days. Although I have several things to post about, I just need to take a few days. I'm behind on my sleep, my shoulders and neck are out, which causes me severe pain to the point of nausea, Daniel is currently cutting 3 teeth all at the same time and is requiring much of my attention, I don't seem to have much energy lately which is not like me, and lastly I just heard that it may take CCAA the next 5-7 months just to get through 2005. That really blew my mind. I realize that I have a busy home with much to be thankful for. However, it doesn't really matter once you have your heart set on bringing another baby home. I'm not sure why I feel so down, but I am. I'm also turning 40 next month and over the weekend I started reflecting over everything that I have done or not done in my life. I keep feeling like I haven't done enough........I have ideas and things I would like to do, but right now I am just so tired. Emotionally and physically. So......just know that I will be reading your blogs and doing my best to check in.......but right now I need to take a few days for the tribe.
~Hugs to you all~

Ah, Stef...

Take all the time you need. I've so been where you are, and completely understand the need to separate self from this crazy adoption business.

Turn off the computer. We'll all still be around when you get back!

Get outside and enjoy the beautiful Michigan weather!

My dear, I am sorry that you are in pain physically & emotionally. You have such blessings in your life but life can get hectic. Take a break and regroup.

You have an amazing life and a beautiful family. These down moments come and hit us...and hit us hard. Take time for yourself & help yourself. That will allow you to help others. And you are such a help to me and others. Not to mention your family.

Take pride in the joy that is your family and friends. Know that age is only a number and your spirit is young and ageless.

We are all here. Giving you a leg up if you need it. A shoulder to lean on. HUGS!!!

Keep smilin!

Totally know how you feel. I haven's spent much time on the blogs lately either as I have been so stressed! School, sports, family, friends...so much to do and so little time! :(

Stef, I understand completely. I do. Take some time for yourself and as far as feeling you haven't done enough, look at your children; you are raising 3 wonderful kids right now and soon you will have another one. I know you are doing something very right with Emmie, as since she seems to be one of the most caring and polite young ladies I have come across. Her love and respect for her family and others shines through on her blog and on comments she leaves on other. You are raising one special human being and that is a LOT.

Hugs,

Sandra

Oh gosh - did I rub off on you!?!?! And here you were trying to cheer me the other night!! I will pray for you - I feel the same way - I have so much to be thankful for, but this wait is excruciating once you set your heart on it - we'll be here when you get back!!! Take a few bubble baths, read a good book, go to Yen Ching's ~ whatever - enjoy!!

Sometimes we all just need a break for our day to day life ... I know I do sometimes. I decided to pull a Grace Card for you - I usually pull these for myself every day and usually the message resonates with me. I hope this one makes sense for you ...

Connect - "Find your center. When we stay connected to our spiritual core, the best and most advantageous path unfolds before us."

You will be in my thoughts ...take car of yourself.

I'm sorry your are blue. Take all of the time you need. I think we all have those moments. It is good to step away and "LIVE" your life in the moment for a while.

I will miss you, but I am glad you are going to be taking care of YOU and that adorable tribe.

Hi Stef,

My name is Lea and I am from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have been following your journey for a long time. I am LID in January of 2007. I have followed you pretty well along thru indecision and decision on our adoption process. You have always given me a lift first thru the Story of You and then your blog. I feel your pain with the wait time. As a matter of fact Bill and I are again going thru indecision because of it.

I hope you get feeling yourself again soon.

I wanted to thank you for all insight that you have given me over time.

Steph,

I will miss you but I understand. Get outside and get some fresh air and sunshine. Have a root beer float. When I have these funks..I keep a gratitude journal and write down 5 things each day I am grateful for. Silly as it is..it helps give me perspective. A good night sleep also does wonders. Hugs~Kim

Rest up! Your bloggy friends will be here waiting. We totally understand your pain. I took a few days off myself last month and it helped.

Sending hugs your way...

Stef,
Well, I can certainly relate to your pains... and I'm sorry you're feeling "blue". Take all the time you need, I'll be here when you come back and I'll miss you while you're away. And stay away from those darn rumors woman : o ) I was at a China Adoption conference this weekend and even met an orphanage director, etc, and it seems the CCAA is doing all that they can to get the wait times back down. Our daughters are at the end of this long wait... rest assured. I'll be thinking of you.

PS. that makes 2 of us turning 40 this year!

My Friend,
If there is anything I can do, just let me know. An evening out, an errand ran. You just let me know and I'll be right on it. Yen Ching take-out, I'm your girl.
Pedicures? That always relaxes me...
Whatever it is, I'll be there. I'll send you some e-mails today. I am sorry that I didn't know you had so much going on.

I can empathize with you regarding the wait. We are LID Sept. '06 and I am really getting discouraged as I read that it could be 2+ years from now! It's so much out of my control, and I have such a hard time with that. Get some rest, and take care of yourself!

Big Hug Stefanie... I hope you feel better. Take time to take care of yourself. I know how hard it is turning 40. But my husband and son and everyone made a big celebration and it turned out to be one of my best birthdays ever.
You must buy a birthday outfit that makes you feel good!!!! That is an essential and go out to dinner. After it is over it isn't nearly as bad as you think. It is just before that is the hardest.
God's timing is perfect and as hard as it is to trust this He is faithful and you will be in the matching room at the exact moment your baby girl's paperwork is there waiting for you.

I totally understand, it gets hard to keep up sometimes with all the things that come at us in life. Take care of your neck and shoulder.
I'm sure Emmie is a great help with the two little ones.

Get some much needed rest, Stef.
We love ya and are all here for you, too.

As far as feeling like you haven't done enough...I second what Sandra wrote -- just look at your beautiful children and know that you have done so much! And, you will continue to do so much more...40 is NOT old!

Go hug those kiddos and get recharged. We will be waiting for some fun stories when you have the time. Just turned 39 so I am feeling that same thing of "what I've done and not done". It is an anxious feeling. I hope to be awaiting a baby girl by my 40th birthday!!! I was hoping for that at 37 and 38 and 39 and here I sit..... Hugs Steffie!

I'm about to post a very similar comment over on Party Of Four...I don't know what it is. My husband and I were saying yesterday that there must be something in the air because we're both down, N is sick, and we can't even begin to wrap our minds around how long it appears this wait is going to be. But, I know we will all regroup/recharge and things will be looking better soon. Hoping you have a relaxing break...Looking forward to reading here again soon.
Hugs,
jennifer
