My baby girl is growing up right before my eyes. Over Christmas break, I took her to Macy's Department Store for the "big make over" at the Clinique counter. I had tears in my eyes just watching her being told how to correctly apply her make up without over doing it. She always did put her make up on nice, but it was time to add a little more to the eyes, cheeks and lips, or so "she says". :) I sat there thinking to myself, "Where did my Gymboree days go with her, where is that pony tail she always wore in her hair in elementary school, where are her cute little black glasses, the jeans and just t-shirts? Those days are no more! Emmie is glitter and glam, and anything that sparkles, my straight A student, spiritual girl and competitive athlete. She is blossoming into a beautiful young lady and I am so very, very proud of her. Some days she drives me crazy with her messy bathroom/bedroom that looks like a tornado went through it, but she always cleans it up eventually. She is my sassy, snazzy girl and I love her to death! The girl even has a stylish lunch box! Go figure.......

Oh, Stef,
They do grow up SO fast. I would expect no less than glitter from Emmie--just look at all those blinkies ;) CHerish the days. Soon you will be posting wedding pics.
Man - I'm getting teary over here just thinking about those day - well, I hope my boys aren't glitter and such :) but they are growing WAY too fast - when Micah talks about driving I just can't believe it - when they were born 14 years seemed like such a long way away - maybe that's why we keep going back to China, huh?!?!? We'll never have an empty nest!!! sigh~
She is a pretty young lady,
I can only speak of watching friends kids grow up, yes they grow up fast.Where does the time go?
It is scary how fast they do grow up, and I can only imagine how you must feel when you look at Emmie. She has grown and changed so much even from the first time I met her. She is a wonderful, beautiful, sweet girl and you should be so very proud.
Thank you Nikki.....you always say the sweetest things! Love ya!
Steffie,
You should be really proud of her. You've done a wonderful job in bringing out the best in your children and your beautiful young lady. I love her lunch bag. I would carry it as a purse!
Hey, you're the one who got me that sweet lunchbox! Keep in mind that picture was taken before 7:00, so I was half sleeping!
Emmie*
What was that???? A subtle compliment from my daughter, perhaps?!?!?!? lol
wow, she is growing up!! i remember just yesterday talking to my mom like that (oh wait, I guess it was yesterday, hehe), wow how fast the time goes (except for the referral times, darn time warp thingy)...
Emmie is just beautiful and just think the bigger she gets the closer you get. It's not all bad just very hard to get your head around.
That is one mighty snazzy lunch tote, girly.
