{ Our Brave Girl }

Livi (8 of 1)
We have been with Olivia for nearly 3 weeks. What a brave girl she is.
Slowly letting us into her little heart and trusting us
more and more with each passing day. Livi (9 of 1) final
Her beauty captivates me. Her eyes are the windows to her soul and once
she feels comfortable enough with me, I pray she lets me in.
She loves art, pretty bows and dresses.
Barbie dolls, braiding hair, lip gloss and
having me wash, dry and curl her hair.
Livi (7 of 1) Final
Her laughter is contagious. She smiles all the time and seems to be happy in her new surroundings. I believe she was prepared for our arrival while she was in China.
She knew we were coming. She knew she would be leaving with us.
Her age has helped her understand what was going to happen.
She is my breath of fresh air.
Livi (8 of 1)
She is sleeping through the night and wakes up calling for me.
When she doesn't know where I am in the house, she calls out for me.
It is the sweetest moment when she finds me.
She reaches out to take my hand, or gives me a hug,
she holds my hand tightly now when we walk and
closes her eyes as I pray over her at night. She is willing to do her work books I have for her and
seems eager to learn anything I try to show her. It is going so amazingly well.
I never imagined it would be like this. Livi (10 of 1) Final
She is going to start school and tutoring next week.
I know she is ready. She is confident and
I believe she knows I will always come back.
She understands much of
what we are saying and she expresses herself with no trouble.
She and Sophia have a bond.
They will sit by each other at school. The entire
class is anxiously waiting for her to attend and be
apart of their daily routine. I am
scared to let her go so soon but yet I can see
that she is ready to fly. Just not too far my love,
but I will give you your chance to finally blossom. Livi (6 of 1) Final
She is sure of herself. She proves that to me. She is a smart, wise child that
has seen more than I probably can handle hearing. In time, I know
that she will share it with me, at least I hope so. Livi (2 of 1) final
The boys are completely smitten with her.
We leave in three weeks for our two week trip to Maui.
I know that it will be a huge bonding time for our family.
I can hardly wait. Livi is our last dream come true
and I still need to pinch myself every morning when I wake up.
I can hardly believe
that we are all finally together.

Steffie, your babies are so precious. Such a gift from God. I'm so happy for your family.

Stef, I think that Andrew and Olivia look similar to each other. It may be what they've been thru, I'm not quite sure what it is. It hurts my heart to think what all of these precious children have experienced in their short lives. I remember being frightened as a child about certain things. These sweet babies are my heroes. Yes, they are. I feel so blessed and attached to all of the adoptive families that I've come to know. Happy tears for your family.
So very happy that we adopted within a month of each other so that I could follow along as you grew your Tribe.:) Sorry this is so long and emotional. It's just how I feel love, hollym.:)
