We are leaving very early Friday morning for Maui. I was so happy that we could still go after we had to cancel in April and after we brought Andrew home. We are looking forward to the children bonding as a family even more with Andrew as we spend two weeks together. I am so excited to take pictures of my little tribe of 4 swimming in the pool, building sand castles on beach, going out to dinner, basking in the tropical sun, running in the grass and just being kids. My sister is leaving for Amsterdam mid July to attend graduate school. Sophia and Daniel are going to miss her terribly. I am so grateful she is getting to come with us. Taking pictures of them with her will be a bitter-sweet time for me. I owe her so much! I will also be bringing my lap top along to watch my sweet friend Kimberley bring her precious girl home from the same orphanage as Andrew. Best wishes my sweet friend......you know I love you dearly! ;)
Andrew continues to amaze me everyday. He is talking, trying to sing the ABC song, counting, dancing and loving life as a 3 1/2 year old little boy should. He communicates his needs quite well to me and is very quick to come to Sophia or Daniels side if one of them gets hurt. Andrew wants to please us. When he does something that he is proud of or thinks that we will be happy about he makes it known to me. He loves to have books read to him at night, loves it when we all go in to wake him in the morning and really gets excited when I pull out new pajama's for him. He really is a very sweet boy. He has his moments when he pouts and cries when he doesn't get his way, but for the most part he is just a beautiful boy with an old soul and I love him to pieces!

Aloha my friend!
YAY for Andrewn and his Tribe:)
Steffie, I am beyond thrilled reading how well Andrew is doing!! I am also so thankful you are updating so many peeps letting them into the day to day goings on when a family, lovingly, opens their hearts to an older child!! Jadyn came home to her family...us:)...one month before turning five, within two weeks she was asking clearly in English when she could start school, too!! Every a.m. she would walk her younger school into preschool...within two weeks she understood where we were...saw the fun Joy and the others were having there....and, started daily asking when she could go...we signed her right up, with academic tutoring within the house the firs year home and speech therapy at home, she just graduated kindergarten and will attend first grade this year....Jadyn will be 7 at the start of the school year and is right on track!!! I love that you are sharing with so many the JOYS of being a Mama to an older child, I would suggest any Mama or Daddy who frequents your blog to open their hearts and listen for a whisper from God about the older children who are waiting...
Enjoy your family vacation...can't wait to see pics...maybe a tweet or two, also...did you know you can post pics on twitter, yep, it's true!!:)
Oops...I meant her younger sister:), not, younger school:( I need to slow down...but, am just SO EXCITED TO SHARE about the older children who just wait!!!
The picture of Andrew is so cute. Have a wonderful time in Maui!
Have a wonderful time in Maui! :)
Andrew is lucky to have a family like yours. ANd I agree...it's never too many!
Your sister is more than welcome to stay with us in Luxembourg at anytime if she misses "family" life. It won't be the same as home but we'll be happy to selcome her here and I shall be delighted to cook her some home cooked food instead of her having to eat "Student food" ha!
Have a wonderful time in Maui! Your kids are so so sweet! You are a blessed woman! ;-)

Have a GREAT trip- I SO love your pics woman!! I can finally get on your site (visiting family in Texas)- it always closes me out from my computer, but I do keep up with you in bloglines. Your family is gorgeous and your new son is just ADORABLE!!!
Oh Steffie I hope you have a wonderful time. I just love these pictures and I am so so thankful to God above that Andrew is adjusting so well.
Steffie.....I'm so excited for the Tribe! You must all be in Maui by now and I hope you enjoy the daylights out of the entire clan. It wouldn't be Paradise without THEM!
Oh, I wish I were coming...and for TWO weeks....WOW!
I didn't realize that Ingrid was going to Amsterdam for Graduate School.....well, I can say from experience that Ingrid will have the time of her life. I did my first graduate studies at the University of Amsterdam and when I look back all those years ago, I remember every single minute of my time there...it was AMAZING! I'd be glad to chat with her if she is interested.
I know you will have a wonderful trip and I will wait with anticipation to see the gorgeous photos I know you will take!
Enjoy beautiful family!
Have so much fun in one of my favorite places in the world!!! I can't wait to see your pictures of your family there! Andrew is so cute and I love hearing his progress since Eden just came home 2 1/2 months ago!
