When The Nag In Your Heart Becomes Crystal Clear...

This past trip to Vegas I won two jack pots, both over $1000 dollars each. The first night I won, I thought to myself.....well it's about time. lol I knew I wouldn't leave the casino that night w/o at least doubling my money. It's always fun to have some extra cash to spend on the Things. ;) We went down to MGM because I can usually win something there and this time was no exception. The next day we were going to the House Of Blues for their Gospel Blues Brunch.. We decided to do a little bit of gambling first and we would meet outside the HOB at 1:00pm. I went to stalk....oops... I mean check these Blazing 7 machines that I had been keeping my eye on. Several were still "due" to pay off. There were 12 machines and no one was on any of them. I sat down and started to play. The machines were hot. Next thing I knew....I hit another jack pot. The music and lights started to go off and the little casino man came over to say congrats and get my info because I would have to sign a W9 form for this one! W00-Hoo! HOWEVER, as I sat there waiting for him to return with my winnings, my heart began to nag at me. Two jack pots Steffie.......you need to do something with one of them.
That following Sunday as I sat in church, I wondered if I should just give $1000 to our Church Fund Drive for our next building project. We are currently trying to raise $1.6 million. For some reason, this did not seem like the thing to do since David and I had already turned in our pledge commitment. I thought about other missions we support......and I just wasn't sure where to give it. It wasn't until I read this post that it became crystal clear to me where it should go. Her journey was difficult and I would have given anything to be there with her, but her faith is strong........so incredibly strong.....I admire her so much! Tears streamed down my face and I shared my idea with Emmie. She thought it was awesome and was just as excited as I was! We set out that day with our first stop being the post office to send our secret gift out to her and her beautiful family. Now, the reason why I'm posting this is because I want to print it out for Sophia and put it in her book. I want her to know that there isn't anything we wouldn't do to help her Pingjiang sister's or their families. I'm always amazed at how God makes things clear to you if you pray, wait and listen. He is good! I have had nothing but pure joy in my heart every time I stop and think about it! ;)

You are truly a wonderful person Stef. This post just gave me the chills. When I first read Gwen's post my jaw dropped. I couldn't even think of loosing that much money...due to the fact of being a college student and not have near that much! ;) You are an amazing person for doing this. It brings joy to my heart just knowing you did this...
